Course summary
This course offers students the opportunity to conduct independent research on a topic of interest, culminating with a dissertation of up to 35,000 words. There are no required courses, but research is supported by an advanced seminar run by core philosophy staff as well as 1-to-1 supervision, with additional seminars.

Entry requirements
A minimum of a 2.1 UK Honours degree or overseas equivalent. The department will also consider strong 2.2 degrees; relevant professional qualifications and relevant experience in an associated area. Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 overall with 7.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other subscores.
