Course summary

Our MSc /PGDip in Nutrition Science and Practice is validated by the University College of Osteopathy and accredited by the Nutritional Therapy Education Council (NTEC). The Science Access Course (which is available from the February) is taught mostly online and is designed to equip you with the basic science you need before starting the MSc/PGDip in September. This is not a stand-alone course, can only be taken if you are moving on to the MSc/PGDip. During the first two (College based) teaching years you will learn all the theory and practical skills you need to become a fully qualified nutrition practitioner, and upon successful completion of the two taught years you will be able to join the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and start to practice. In your third year you will complete your MSc dissertation which is home study with the support of a supervisor. Or you can exit with a PGDip at the end of Year 2. The course is open to students who have an initial undergraduate degree or can prove degree equivalent learning. Eligible students studying on the MSc and living in England, will be able to access a postgraduate student loan. We are unable to accept students from overseas.
