Course summary

This course goes beyond the limits of traditional economics and business-related courses by combining a thorough understanding of economic theory, relevant applications and business knowledge. You will be introduced to a set of economic concepts, frameworks and techniques, both numerical (making use of both Mathematical and statistical techniques) and non-numerical. These will provide a basis for understanding the economics that governs decision-making, management and organisational behaviour within public, private and third-sector organisations. You will develop a detailed understanding of the global economy and Northern Ireland’s place within it. The course is focused on practical and applied skills in economics and business that are in high demand in the current marketplace. The real-world focus of the course will prepare you for a career in the business world or for postgraduate business courses.
