At Writtle University College we have a wide range of animal species available for you to work with, enabling you to gain hands-on experience and develop sound practical animal husbandry skills. These skills are complemented by an academic program covering various topics essential for effective animal management, including microbiology and parasitology, breeding, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, behaviour, health and welfare. By combining practical and theoretical elements, we ensure that our graduates are capable of applying their scientific knowledge to improve the welfare of any animal.
