Assessment method

The primary way of delivering this course is on campus. On campus teaching includes a combination of lectures, small group seminars, workshops, guest lectures, field trips and one-to-one discussion with your tutor. The academic year is 30 weeks in duration with students expected to attend two days a week on a full-time programme and one day a week on a part-time programme. Further, students will receive 14 hours of teaching per week when attending on a full-time course and 7 hours part time. Additional one-to-one meetings with tutors will provide further support.

Qualification requirements

A BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma, Subsidiary Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or one A level, in a relevant subject (maths, science, geography). Alternative qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered. Due to the specialist nature of this course and the level of study, we may recommend that students start on the level 3 bridging course, which will provide an introduction to construction & the built environment at level 3. This will be discussed with each applicant when they apply and will be based on their experience and qualifications.
