Explore how children, families and their communities are impacted by the way society is structured, and understand the role you can play in supporting them through times of change and crisis. With the support of our highly respected academics, and using a trauma-informed approach, you’ll use real-life issues – like digital communications, abuse, and poverty – to gain the key skills needed to enhance outcomes for children and families. Train in safeguarding and Portage, study for an accredited Forest School certification, and broaden your experience through industry events and professional placements both in the UK and abroad. Assessment method
You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree. Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests. Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work. Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.
