Interview

All applicants to this course must attend an interview if invited and cannot receive an offer without attending an interview. Interviews usually take place at our Camden campus between the end of November and mid December, with the exception of those attending interviews in North America (November) or South-East Asia (January). However, in November and December 2020 and 2021 interviews were conducted online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At present, we cannot confirm how and where interviews will take place in 2022, but the requirement to attend an interview before an offer can be issued will still stand. Invitations to interview are sent by email around 2-3 weeks before the interview date. Once issued, applicants are required to respond to their interview invitation by email within 5 working days. If invited, it may not be possible to rearrange an interview for a different date, so applicants must ensure they are available for interview before applying and inform us by email of any specific days when they are unavailable. Please note that if you apply to more than one of our Veterinary Medicine courses (excluding the Bachelor of Veterinary Science) and your application progresses to the interview stage, you will be invited to attend one interview only which will be used in our assessment of each of your applications.

Other

All applicants must submit an online supplementary form by 15 October. The form must be submitted independently of, and in addition to, the UCAS application and the RVC will not contact applicants reminding them to submit the form before the deadline. The form will be available on the RVC website for the duration of the UCAS application window at the following page: https://www.rvc.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/applicant-supplementary-form In the form, applicants will need to demonstrate that they meet our minimum work experience requirements of at least 70 hours (ten days) in a veterinary practice and 70 hours in other animal environments (e.g. kennels, cattery, animal shelter, farm, stables, zoo, pet shop, etc.) from within the 18 months directly preceding the 15 October application deadline. Work experience completed more than 18 months before the deadline will not be counted towards the requirements but can still be included on the form.
