Are you ready to take your game to the next level? Be careful how you respond because we’ll hold you to it. Training and learning to compete as a tournament golf professional is no mean feat. It requires drive, determination, application and most of all effort and commitment from you. Here at Tournament Golf College (TGC) we will prepare you mentally, physically, tactically, technically, personally and academically for the challenges that lie ahead. At TGC our philosophy is to enjoy the journey, to not just work hard, but work smart and become a disciplined, solution-based thinker: a key attribute for all top players. Learn how we break the game of golf down into performance segments, and work on solutions in many areas to make many small improvements. With your efforts, discipline and open mind we can help you achieve and maximise your potential. The FdSc Tournament Golf is a two year programme of study with winter training in Portugal during the second semester of each year. The taught programme runs from September until the end of March finishing in time for the start of the golf season. You can expect to work at weekends, some evenings and have independent study during the playing season. The first semester is in the UK at St Mellion International Resort and the second in Portugal at Oceanico Golf. The programme prides itself on its relationships with industry and as such the opportunities for academic study and game play are extensive. The fantastic facilities provide a golfing environment second to none. Over the past two years students have been enrolled onto the Algarve Professional Golf Tour and competed with professionals. A number of our students have undertaken work placements at the prestigious Saadiyat Golf Resort, Dubai. Our dedicated support team are available for regular or ad hoc 1:1 learning or pastoral support needs. Cornwall College University Centre offers a unique and fulfilling university experience with small class sizes, allowing for personal attention from tutors and a strong sense of community among students. The wrap-around support provided ensures that students receive the necessary guidance and resources to excel in their studies, while studying alongside likeminded individuals who share their passion for vocational technical skills. Located in one of the most beautiful and natural parts of the country, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the stunning surroundings while developing practical skills that set them apart in the job market.
