Course summary
Research into health and healthcare is essential for:
- understanding the causes, presentation and management of health conditions
- informing the development and evaluation of innovative health technologies, treatments, care pathways and services
- informing health policy decision making
Assessment method
Each module is taught in blocks of two to three teaching days a week for a total of five or six days per module. Assessment is a mix of oral presentations, assignments and written tests. You will be allocated a personal tutor as well as a supervisor for your dissertation, which will be assessed by a 15,000-20,000 word written submission and an oral presentation.
Entry requirements
Relevant 2:1 degree (or equivalent). IELTS 7.0 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.
