Our three or four year PhD focuses on specialised research projects defined in conjunction with supervisors in the faculty. The project can cover many different fields within this discipline, these are just an example of some fields you could consider:

  • nanomaterial engineering
  • bioengineering
  • laser processing
  • advanced composite materials


Entry requirements

2.1 degree (or international equivalent) and/or a Master's at merit level or above in a relevant subject. English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element).
