About this course? This degree consists of a sharp focus on employability in the early years sector - with teaching informed by the influential works of Friedrich Froebel. Roehampton is internationally renowned for its work in early childhood studies. This course takes a distinctive Froebelian approach to the study of early years, grounded in the following principles:

  • Understanding policy and practice, and learning to engage in critical inquiry and problem solving around key issues in the field.
  • Graduate Practitioner Competencies - Students have the opportunity to gain the level 6 certificate through undertaking an assessed placement.

  • Working as an education professional in primary and nursery care (teaching, administration or management)*

• 240 credits from a Higher National Diploma (HND), a foundation degree (FdA/ FdSc) or equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject. • 240 credits from years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject at a different institution.
