Course summary

Our LLM in International Business Law is an innovative programme that offers you the opportunity to develop your analytical skills and expertise in the legal framework which governs international business transactions. Delivered by a specialist team of highly qualified academics and scholars, the design of the course is informed by a problem-solving approach to learning the legal rules which regulate a wide range of international business activities, from cross-border trade in goods and services to transnational carriage of goods, and international banking and finance. The rapid pace of developments in technology calls for transnational legal responses in solving new and emerging problems affecting the regulatory framework for international business. This course incorporates a holistic approach to the study of contemporary international business law and practice, thus equipping you with the academic abilities and employability skills which are relevant for a successful career in the general world of global business.

Assessment method

Tutors are experts in their field and with many having practical experience in industry and the professions which helps combine your academic knowledge with practical application. Many aspects of teaching and assessment are grounded in real life situations.


Entry requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally: * An Honours degree (2:2 or above) in any subject. * Other experience or qualifications that demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills at graduate level may be acceptable. Suitability for acceptance onto the course will be assessed through interview.


English language requirements

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent. The part-time tuition fee for UK postgraduate students on this course will be £740 (Band 3) per 15 credit module. Tuition fees for UK students will cover the cost of your study at the University.
