Course summary
Engineering is one of the best industries for making it to the top, with excellent career opportunities available for appropriately qualified and skilled personnel. The HNC in General Engineering aims to foster the technical and transferable skills required for employment within this specialised field. It is the product of close collaboration with key industry employers, many of whom support our students into employment. Graduates are now employed by major companies such as EDF Energy, Westinghouse (Springfields Fuels Ltd), BAE Systems, Airbus, NIC, GEC and Ford Motor Company as design, production, project or research and development engineers. Others have progressed to our BEng (Hons) Mechatronics.

All applicants will be required to attend an information, advice and guidance appointment either on campus or remotely. The session will give you the opportunity to meet our tutors and ask any questions you may have about studying at B&FC.
