Course description This is a highly flexible course, designed to fit around your needs and commitments. The course provides the opportunity for healthcare professionals with a developing interest in medical education to explore the theoretical principles underpinning medical education and consider how this relates to their practice. The course aims to develop medical educators who are informed and understand the core principles and issues in medical education. Participants on this course come from a range of healthcare professions such as doctors, dentists, psychiatrists, nurses, physician associates and paramedics. This course is delivered through a highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team of expert tutors. Whether you are new to teaching or want to enhance existing skills, you'll gain expertise in effective medical education and develop a scholarly approach to implementing educational practices and strategies. Throughout your studies, we encourage you to make critical links between your own practice, theory and policy. We are a leading centre for medical education. How to apply

International applicants

Overall IELTS score of 7.5 with a minimum of 7.0 in each component, or equivalent. As this course is taught part-time, it is not open to applicants who require a visa to study in the UK.

Entry requirements

You will need: A recognised degree in a healthcare profession. Experience in teaching or supervising learning in a healthcare or related setting. Access to learners in a healthcare or related setting. As part of your application process you'll be required to have visited our Virtual Open Day.
