Course summary

If you want to work in the 2D or stop-motion animation industry, and have a passion for storytelling through animation, USW's Animation degree is for you. You’ll gain plenty of hands-on experience of traditional and digital animation techniques to complement your strong drawing skills and imagination. You’ll be encouraged to find ways to apply these skills throughout the entire animation process. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional practice on this course, which will give you a realistic understanding of how the industry works and will enhance your employment prospects. This Animation degree is based at USW's Cardiff campus in the city centre, putting you at the heart of the capital of Wales. Students have access to a wide range of resources including textbooks, publications, and computers in the University’s library and via online resources.
