Our partnership arrangements with schools mean you will have a range of experiences of working directly with children and qualified professionals in a variety of settings - working with children of diverse cultural backgrounds and across a spectrum of individual needs. This award leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The focus for achieving QTS is particularly in the practice modules. UWE Bristol have chosen Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) as our accredited provider for the QTS elements of the course. We've worked closely with SHU to design a high-quality course which meets the DfE's new Initial Teacher Training (ITT) curriculum requirements. We're continuing to work together to assure our provision and share good practice.

We are only able to accept transfers into year 2 when students come in from from another initial teacher education programme in the UK. Please note, we do not accept transfers into year 3.

Applicants who are offered a place must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will be required to complete a Disclosure Application Form. All information will be treated in confidence and only taken into account when absolutely necessary.
