How to apply

International applicants

When you are thinking about studying overseas, it is important that you understand all the costs involved and budget accordingly. It is essential to budget for your studies prior to leaving your home country and to arrange all your funding for BOTH your tuition fees and your living costs. In addition, it is important to check all immigration requirements regularly and before travelling, as they can change. Students without the necessary visa will be refused entry to the UK. You should allow plenty of time to organise your visa and ensure you are aware of all your responsibilities under the terms and conditions of your visa. Please note that the advice provided via the University is the Student Visa category of the UK's Points Based Immigration Scheme. For further information, please visit the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) website: www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-and-immigration.

Entry requirements

A health-related honours degree (a 2:2 or at least 60%) or be able to demonstrate evidence of equivalent experience in healthcare practice or research. We also consider applications from students with a pure science, social science or a humanities first degree who have a keen interest in health. These are our minimum requirements for direct entry to the MSc, PgDip or PgCert. They are given as a guide and do not guarantee entry. If you do not meet these entry requirements, or are not ready to commit to a full MSc, you may be able to use our online short courses as a route into this degree. Successfully complete two or more of the short courses that are part of this MSc and you’ll have proved you can study at this level. You can then apply to transfer onto the full Masters. This gives you a possible route into the MSc if you do not have an undergraduate degree.
