This course develops your understanding of how the human body functions in health and disease. You'll study biomedical practice, biochemistry, infection and immunity, anatomy and physiology, cell biology and genetics and the microbial world. You'll undertake practical modules and reflect on your work placement, looking at what you learned and how to enhance your practice. On successful completion of this year-long course, you can progress to the final year of the Foundation degree in Biomedical Science if you choose.
