Course summary
The area of mental health work is expanding and new roles have been developing at a fast pace. This qualification aims to assist individuals working in a mental health setting to gain the skills and knowledge needed to respond to these developments. It is also aimed at volunteers with a keen interest in the area of mental health work. The foundation degree is a two year full-time vocational degree programme where practice is assessed alongside academic ability. Employers have been supportive both in the development and delivery of the degree ensuring that students gain exactly the skills needed in the workplace.
