Course summary
Develop your knowledge and understanding in key areas of strategic people management, as well as an understanding of HR in a business context. Learn in a supportive and interactive environment to develop your knowledge and practical skills through theoretical learning and sharing ideas and experiences. Professional Body Registration - You will be required to sign up for a CIPD student membership.
Modules
The core units are directly aligned to the core knowledge and core behaviours of the Profession Map. Topics typically studied include the following - some modules are subject to change by the curriculum team: Personal effectiveness, ethics and business acumen Advanced employment law Resourcing and talent management Work and working lives in a changing business environment People management development strategies for performance Strategic reward management Strategic employment relations Business Research
Assessment method
Each session includes taught theory and seminar activities. The sessions are inclusive and interactive and will encourage you to share ideas and experiences. You will develop your knowledge and allow you to put into practice the skills of a HR practitioner. You will engage in the following to build your knowledge to complete summative assessments for each unit: Case studies Case law Topical and up-to-date research Group activities Individual work Sessions will be delivered via blended learning, including face to face sessions onsite and live remote sessions via Teams.
Entry requirements
Level 2 maths and English Level 5 CIPD or a relevant Level 6 qualification And/or experience of working within a relevant HR role
