Course summary

This is a practical course which aims to develop creative craft skills in visual storytelling. At its core, the course imbeds current discussions on film and screen practices within todays’ filmmaking culture. This is all taught through practical assignments that can be exhibited across different media platforms preparing graduates to engage as global practitioners, whilst contributing to the developing creative industries and the new ways in which film is now being consumed by audiences. Industry craft skills are taught through production and post-production techniques supported with sustained access to industry standard production equipment and post-production softwares. This course provides a 'top-up' year for any student from a Level 5 Film, Arts or Media background as a progression route to final year honours degree studies. This course is delivered and awarded by Warwickshire College and is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS). Assessment method

The course is 90% practical and as such involves a lot of production led activities in its approach to teaching and learning. All the coursework will involve production elements which are assessed in relation to your creative skills and ability to engage audiences in your storytelling techniques. There are no examinations on this course
