There are four areas you can choose to focus your studies on: – Building Engineering Services – Civil Engineering – Construction Management – Quantity Surveying
Modules can differ depending on your chosen pathway. Below is an example of the included modules for each: Construction Management: Individual Project Construction Technology Science and Materials Construction Practice and Management Legal and Statutory Responsibilities in Construction Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing, Specification) Surveying, Measuring and Setting Out Site Supervision and Operations. Civil Engineering: Individual Project Construction Technology Science and Materials Construction Practice & Management Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing, Specification) Mathematics for Construction Principles of Structural Design Civil Engineering Technology. Quantity Surveying: Individual Project Construction Technology Science and Materials Construction Practice & Management Legal and Statutory Responsibilities in Construction Measuring and Estimating Financial Management & Business Practices in Construction Tender and Procurement
You will usually have to complete coursework, presentation and projects as you progress through the academic year.
