Course summary

This programme will suit students who work or wish to work in the Construction industry and wish to develop the required academic knowledge and practical skills. There are four areas you can choose to focus your studies on: – Building Engineering Services – Civil Engineering – Construction Management – Quantity Surveying

Modules

Modules can differ depending on your chosen pathway. Civil Engineering: Individual Project Construction Technology Science and Materials Construction Practice & Management Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing, Specification) Mathematics for Construction Principles of Structural Design Civil Engineering Technology. Quantity Surveying: Individual Project Construction Technology Science and Materials Construction Practice & Management Legal and Statutory Responsibilities in Construction Measuring and Estimating Financial Management & Business Practices in Construction Tender and Procurement

Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience. Typical offer: 1 A Level at E Grade or PP/PPP profile from a BTEC Level 3 qualification and five GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
