Childhood studies is an exciting field drawing on knowledge from psychology, sociology and psychoanalysis. Early childhood experiences contribute to formative development and affects children for the rest of their lives. The modern world presents a wide range of new and challenging experiences for children, including constant access to media, wider cultural diversity, cyber-bullying and larger school numbers. This course prepares you to enter a career working with infants and children in education, health care or childrens services, and make a positive contribution to these formative years.

You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods, including, essays, presentations, research tasks, projects and case studies.
