Course summary

Nurses are vital to the future of meeting the health and social care needs of the population, increasing the need for registered nurses to have the ability to care for people of all ages and with multiple or complex needs whether at home, in the community or in hospitals. To meet this demand, this stimulating integrated Masters degree has been developed for caring, compassionate and highly motivated individuals who aspire to register as a qualified nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in two fields of nursing. Through your studies you will gain practical skills and experience while developing the leadership, problem-solving and confidence to provide the highest standards of integrated nursing care for a wide range of patient groups. You will graduate with the ability to think critically and apply the evidence-based knowledge associated with Masters level study that will enhance your career opportunities.

Assessment method

In each year, you will be assessed by written coursework, an oral task, a simulated practical exercise and an online time-limited assessment. While on practice placement, you will be supported in the development of the application of knowledge and skills, leading to the assessment of related proficiencies.

If you have a minimum of two A Levels (or equivalent), there is no maximum number of qualifications that we will accept UCAS points from. This includes additional qualifications such as Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), AS Levels that haven’t been continued to A Level, and General Studies AS or A Level awards.
