Course summary
Creative arts therapy engages people in the arts to address and support mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioural disorders. The course will integrate a sound understanding of the theoretical principles that underpin therapeutic approaches using creative arts. This full-time course will teach you about therapeutic approaches and the theory behind them. You will explore how a creative approach can be used to support children and young people, older people, people with learning disabilities and those with mental health issues Throughout the course you will work in a practical placement setting in order to gain new skills and enable the integration of theory and practice. Student will be required to have an up to date DBS ( CRB ) Check in place by start of course.
