The BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance is designed to develop your knowledge of complex business and organisational practices in an increasingly internationalised business context. Key management skills necessary to deliver financially and environmentally sustainable organisational performance, through the functions of Accounting and Finance, are also built. The programme focusses on developing the knowledge and transferrable skills required to become a professional financial manager in a digital world. The Programme is informed by contemporary themes in accounting and finance, and is applied in orientation. The programme aims to provide a broad integrated study of all types of business organisations and their underlying operating principles and practices; a study of the wider context of organisations, how they are managed and the changing environment in which they exist; the development of key accounting and finance skills associated with managing high performance organisations; and life-long learning and employability skills to enable you to prepare for a future career in accounting or business management and to play an active part in the development of local, national and international organisations. To optimise your choice and flexibility the programme contains options to enable you to tailor your study to your own interests. The programme is also part of a larger portfolio of 12 programmes. At the start of each stage, you will be able to move between programmes in the portfolio.
