Why study MSc Research Methods at BU?
- Acquire a range of psychological research methods and skills to investigate human behaviour, culminating in an ability to conduct rigorous research independently

Modules
Core units: Research Project, Introduction to Research Methods, Digital Methods and Data Skills, Advanced Quantitative Methods or Advanced Qualitative Methods (choose one unit) Subject Specialism (choose one subject - and the associated three units - from the following three subjects) Clinical Psychology: Roots and Range of Psychological Disorders; Clinical Skills; Psychological Therapy 1; Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology Neurodevelopmental Diversity: Clinical and Cognitive Neuropsychology; Ageing and Neurodegenerative Disorders Forensic Psychology: Behavioural Analysis of Serious Crime; Investigative Psychology; Professional Practice and Court Skills
Entry requirements
A Bachelors Honours degree with 2:2 (or equivalent) is required in a relevant subject. Required subjects include: Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Science, Biological Science and, Social Science. If English is not your first language, you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in writing, speaking, listening and reading.
