Research into Complementary Medicines, Therapies and Well-being is loosely grouped into three areas of study: Community health and well-being promotes positive community well-being, effective service delivery, evaluation, community engagement and good governance. Patient Experience Research focuses on self-management approaches to health; how being a patient is meaningful and adds value to understanding illness and recovery; and how to promote health and well-being at the social level. The EAST medicine (East Asian Sciences and Traditions in Medicine) is a world-leading centre in the field of East Asian medicine. Focusing on understanding East Asian medicines and facilitating their evidence-based integration into contemporary healthcare.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have a minimum classification of 2.1 in their first degree or equivalent and preferably a master's degree (or masters degree pending). Applicants whose first degree has not been studied in English should have IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in all elements. Applicants need to submit a research proposal of 2,000–3,500 words. It should include a title of proposed research, identify discipline and formulate research questions clearly. It should also include proposed research methodology and plan of work and time schedule. References are normally required and if not provided with your application will be requested at a later date.
