Course summary
Ideal if: you already have an Early Years qualification at Level 3 and want to increase your knowledge. You'll learn: a variety of mandatory units including emerging developmental theory and research and leading and managing in the Early Years sector. Expect to: develop your ability as a reflective practitioner, by exploring links between theoretical perspectives and current practice and learn how to think critically about current policy. You'll love: still having the opportunity to work while putting what you learn into practice. Students need to demonstrate they have previous experience with working with children before embarking on this Level 4 Foundation Degree. The course, which is validated by the University of Gloucestershire, takes place over two evenings a week and one of these evenings is delivered electronically through web based activities and webinars. In addition, there are also three innovative learning weekends.
