Course summary
The MA Illustration (Online) course is a part-time, flexible course that enables you to explore, refine and reflect on the practical aspects of your craft in a setting that suits you. In tandem with this, you'll gain new understanding of your craft through engaging with the historical, contemporary and professional contexts of your subject. Enabling you to become active and valuable participants in the growing international illustration community. Through rigorous self-reflection, academic enquiry, and thorough research, you'll break down and rethink your practice. Dissecting and cross-examining both historical and contemporary illustration works, using them as reference points to chart your position as a practitioner in today's industry.

We'll take into consideration the knowledge and skills that have been developed inside and outside the classroom, as well as your previous qualifications. We aim to interview all applicants who demonstrate the potential to succeed on the course. Interviews are used to assess whether you have the necessary skills and capabilities and whether this programme is appropriate to your interests and aspirations.
