About this Course: The BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Professional Development is designed to meet the professional development needs of teachers, trainers and managers in further, higher, adult, secondary and primary education. This course is also applicable to those who work in related areas such as health, careers and uniformed services. It is intended to meet the needs of those wishing to broaden their knowledge and understanding of education and training policy, theory and practice. The degree is particularly suitable for those wishing to progress from a Certificate in Education, Diploma in Education & Training and those who are taking on extra responsibility or seeking career development. This is a two-year, blended learning topup programme validated by the University of Hull, involving attendance at several day schools with an expectation of independent study and support by individual tutorials with the module tutor. In addition to this, you will be supported in your studies with academic support from our libraries. Rotherham College has an experienced teaching team who has a good reputation for ensuring you receive a quality teaching and learning experience. Not only will you be supported in your studies by the teaching team, you will receive help from our learning centre staff in relation to academic and research skills.
