Course summary
University Centre Askham Bryan has an established equine centre with a strong relationship with the British Horse Society. It is a registered training and examination centre for horse care and riding and already runs a range of professional training for those who take part in equine sports. The equine centre has expanded in recent years and now includes three indoor yards. During this course you will learn to integrate applied equine research with the scientific theory of managing equines. The course prepares students for management level careers in the equine and associated leisure industries. You will focus on developing and securing your knowledge and skills in effective evidence-based management of the horse, the rider and the facilities. You will have the opportunity to access the established equine centre at Askham Bryan College with a strong relationship with the British Horse Society. It is a registered training and examination centre for horse care and riding and already runs a range of professional training for those who take part in equine sports. The equine centre includes three indoor yards, large indoor arena and an outdoor arena.
