Course summary
The prosperity of business relies on the innovation and creativity of its employees. This programme will give you the skills and experience necessary to flourish in a challenging business environment. Over the course of your degree studies, you’ll encounter a range of practice-based topics across a full range of business and management disciplines. This will be combined with the study of challenging and vocational marketing modules which will underpin the development of your marketing expertise and professionalism. You will explore a range of topics such as management, marketing, finance, consumer buyer behaviour, brands, digital campaign planning, market research, HRM and law to provide you with a strong foundation of both marketing and business management needed by employers today. Our methods are different to many other universities as the majority of learning takes place in group workshops, in an interactive, participative environment. Modules are designed to be active and experiential so that the skills and knowledge you develop can be implemented in realistic settings. This degree will also develop your marketing focus should you decide to progress your career in marketing and extend your studies further to gain full Chartered Institute of Marketing Institute (CIM) accreditation. You can gain this additional professional qualification by taking the marketing options and membership/exam fee. This degree is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) which is a professionally recognised qualification with marketing professionals. Our degree includes one module that will entitle you to exemption from one module on the PG Certificate or Diploma level of the CIM Professional Marketing qualifications after you graduate. This will be useful if you decide to pursue a career in marketing and would like to gain further marketing qualifications to enhance your career.
