Explore the role of strength and conditioning as one of the most effective tools to improve health and performance with a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning. Our unique MSc Strength and Conditioning integrates the essential aspects of injury prevention with sports nutrition and physical preparation. We emphasise the area of exercise for health, preparing our students to work within the health system. Students are taught by specialist staff in the Centre for Sports Science and Medicine in Sport and Exercise, with support from internationally recognised visiting professionals. You'll gain subject-specific knowledge, enhanced practical and professional skills, and a critical awareness of advances at the forefront of strength and conditioning studies. We're accredited by some of the most respected organisations in the field. In particular, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) recognises our master's as a high-quality programme for the NSCA Education Recognition Programme.   • Graduates of this course will have the opportunity to apply for external professional accreditation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
  • Essential preparation to apply for the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Accreditation and the International Society of Sport Nutrition Accreditation is provided.
  • We also consider other essential areas for sports sciences professionals such as injury prevention, sports nutrition health and wellbeing.
  • You will have to opportunity to join Sports Science Research group, apply for an internship in professional sports centres or the NHS working as physiologist within a health team.
