This degree builds on the industry-recognised HNC/D programmes. All first year entrants will start on the HNC and the entry requirements are therefore for this programme. Successful completion will allow you to progress to the second year of the HND. Following achievement of the HND, you can progress to the third year of the degree. Applicants already holding a relevant HNC qualification can apply for direct entry to the second year. When completing your application make sure you choose year two. Applicants already holding a relevant HND qualification can apply for direct entry to year three, again where this is the case please make sure you choose year three when completing your application. The BA (Hons) Hospitality Management allows an opening into this diverse and dynamic industry through a well thought out mix of practical and hands-on education with a strong management focus. A wide range of industry links provide opportunities for networking and developing broad based experience, both at home and abroad. The course provides a strong element of work experience across each year of study to develop skills and experience. A blended learning approach to delivery includes video conferencing, peer working groups and online tutorials and discussions. All are fully supported by tutors and studies advisors. This will be enhanced by regular networking, field trips and guest lectures. First year students can apply for The Kingsmills Scholarship.

Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)
Advanced entry to year two of the degree may be possible if you have successfully completed an HNC in Hospitality Operations or Professional Cookery. Advanced entry to year three of the degree may be possible if you have successfully completed an HND in Hospitality Management or HND Professional Cookery with Management.
UHI does not use Tariff points, and accepts a range of qualifications. Applicants with other relevant qualifications or experience will be considered on an individual basis.
