Course summary

This qualification is ideal for experienced people practitioners, or those who are working in a senior people practice role and wish to deepen their skills and understanding to shape strategy, policy and people. This course builds on the level 5 CIPD Diploma in People Management and aims to intensify learners' autonomy and judgement so they can lead and direct organisational people management strategies. It provides the theoretical knowledge of the importance of creating long-term value for a wide audience and the impact of influencing a range of stakeholders. Learners will gain a distinct and deep level of understanding which naturally progresses their expertise and supports a transition to strategic people management roles. This qualification replaces the Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management. When will I start the course and how long will it take? The course will take place in September and will take two years to complete. You will attend College on Thursday evening, from 5.00pm - 9.00pm. The course takes place at St Helens College, Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP, however some sessions are currently being delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams. You will be assessed by assignments for each module.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved the level 5 Diploma in People Management, or an equivalent qualification. You will also need to be working in a middle management or senior management position, preferably in a HR environment, to be able to generate the evidence needed to complete the course.
