A Brighton Accounting, Finance and Economics degree prepares you for a range of rewarding career paths including roles in investment and commercial banks, consultancy firms, government agencies and in the financial and treasury departments of large companies. This course is taught by our School of Business and Law which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (ASCSB) – a distinction held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide. Our foundation courses are integrated with an honours degree, so you’ll spend a year developing the knowledge and skills needed before you start your degree with us. Successful completion of the foundation means that you can continue on one of our finance, accounting or economics-related honours degrees. Modules
You will complete four modules in your foundation year. You will explore accounting, finance and economics concepts and theories, developing a strong understanding of the underlying principles. You’ll examine the relationship between theory and practice and explore how this relates to debates and issues in finance and business. You will also gain the transferable skills that are essential for study at degree level.
