Buckinghamshire New University has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
We have strong links with a number of sports organisations, many of which sit on the University’s doorstep. These include the National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey, home to several governing bodies of sport, and Stoke Mandeville Hospital, birthplace of the Paralympics. You’ll have the opportunity to blend academic study with a professional sports environment.
Year One: Professional and Academic Skills for Sport, Bioenergetics of Human Movement, Data Analysis in Sports and Exercise Science, Foundations of Biomechanics, Foundations of Exercise Physiology, Foundations of Sport and Exercise Psychology, Functional Anatomy and Kinanthropometry. Year Two: Research in Sport and Exercise, Applied Exercise Physiology, Applied Sport and Performance Psychology, Applied Strength and Conditioning, Biomechanics and Kinesiology, Cognition and Emotion in Sport and Exercise Psychology, Exercise Prescription and Instruction, Performance Analysis in Sport, Sport Nutrition. Year Three: Professional Development & Employability, Research Dissertation, Applied Performance Analysis in Sport, Contemporary Coaching Issues, Exercise Referral, Professional Practice Issues in Sport Psychology, Sport Injury and Rehabilitation, Working with a Client.
