Want to become a registered nurse with the convenience of practice-based learning within your local healthcare provider? This Practice-Based Pathway into Adult Nursing is workplace-based. You'll spend your placement time learning alongside practitioners and academics. You can choose from one of four healthcare providers. Nursing is one of the most rewarding careers you can choose. As a nurse specialising in adult care, you'll deliver care to people who need immediate support in hospitals or community settings. You could also assist people to recover and manage an illness they will have to live with for the rest of their life. Promoting good health and educating people to care for themselves, or members of their family or community is a key focus for adult nurses. Whether their patients are in hospitals, care homes or being nursed at home. You'll need to be open-minded and motivated to help patients understand themselves and their condition. Whether it's assisting a patient to overcome major surgery or helping someone with agoraphobia leave their house. - On this unique programme, you'll learn in small groups. We combine the delivery of theory and practice within the same week for most of the course, offering an attractive work-life balance.

Year 1: Fundamental Skills for Nursing Practice, Learning to Learn, Contemporary Influences on Health, Ethics, Law and Professionalism, Introduction to Medicines Management, Concepts of Human Anatomy and Physiology Year 2: Body Systems, Health and Long Term Conditions, Body Systems, Health and Acute Illness, Nursing the Older Person, Public Health and Wellbeing, Medicines Management for Adult Nursing Year 3: Transforming Evidence into Nursing Practice, One option module (several choices), Applied Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology for Adult Nurses, Medicines Management for Professional Registration (Adult Nursing), Nursing the Acutely Ill Adult, Internship: includes a 12 week placement which prepares the student for registration
