Modules
1 – Individual Project this will develop the students project management and technical knowledge as well as building confidence in presentations and application of construction techniques. 2 – Construction Technology This provides the basic knowledge that all construction managers and technical staff require. 3 – Science & Materials This subject will look at the science underpinning the way in which the built environment is created. 4 – Construction Practice and Management This will provide the ability to understand and manage the process of delivering projects to the required time quality and cost. 5 – Legal & Statutory Responsibilities in Construction This will provide confidence for managers and professionals to deal with the many facets of contracts in these roles. 6 – Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing, Specification) This helps students to understand and work with the different forms of construction information that are essential to the delivery of buildings and structures. 11 Measurement & Estimating This develops the skills necessary to manage financial aspects of construction and the pricing of contract work 7 Surveying, Measuring & Setting-out This provides an opportunity to learn the basic surveying skills required by all construction professionals and requires the use of digital surveying equipment to survey and set out buildings.
