Course summary

The programme has been developed in partnership with audiovisual businesses including the Tate Gallery, Visavvi, Shure, The AV Cultural Forum, and Wellcome Trust. Audiovisual material and associated technical skills are a fundamental, and increasingly significant component at the cinema, on television, at music venues, theatres, festivals, conferences, and for corporate, charity and public sector organisations. The live audiovisual industry reports a shortage of technically competent staff needed to plan and deliver events involving sound, light, and video projection. There is also a shortage of site-specific audiovisual technicians permanently based in institutions.
