Engineering services play an integral part in modern-day living. This integrated masters course will help you develop the skills required for the safe and sustainable design, installation and operation of technical services within buildings. The course enables you to build the expertise to analyse situations, data or existing knowledge to provide solutions to building services engineering problems. Using appropriate digital technologies and working with industry professionals from around the world, you will learn to communicate effectively with stakeholders and be able to promote low carbon solutions and sustainability in unfamiliar environments. There will be opportunities to work on projects such as designing ‘clean room’ ventilation systems for the pharmaceutical industries, low energy lighting solutions for education establishments and intelligent building systems for international clients. If you enjoy problem-solving, this course is the ideal stepping stone to gain employment in the building services engineering and related disciplines. Your programme of study will include design project workshops, extracurricular seminars, field trips and building case studies, which are embedded throughout the course to help reinforce your learning process.
