Building services engineering, also called engineering services, helps clients develop greener products and technology to solve problems in indoor environments. Engineering services play an integral part in the comfort and sustainability of modern-day living and working. As part of this course, you'll:

  • Build expertise as you analyse mechanical and electrical engineering systems within buildings
  • Understand the techniques behind low-carbon design and renewable energy systems
  • Refine your skills using industry- standard design and energy analysis software applications
  • Identify the complex needs of diverse clients and unfamiliar environments
  • Understand the role building services engineering plays in providing efficient and cost-effective solutions to the climate crisis
  • Understand the life cycle and performance of buildings and their impact on the wider environment
  • Learn project management techniques for the built environment.Be able to promote low-carbon solutions and sustainability
