Course summary

Certificate of Higher Education: Dance Education (FHEQ Level 4) (One year full-time or two years part-time) At Level 4, you will gain a broad perspective on dance education across private and public sectors, including the work of dance teaching societies and dance in school curricula. You will also be introduced to educational concepts which are fundamental throughout your studies, as well as gaining knowledge and understanding of health, fitness and safety in relation to dance teaching. All modules are assessed through a written assignment which is tutored by telephone, and e-mail. Written assignments include essays, case studies and portfolios.

3 GCE A Level passes or equivalent Highers/BTEC/Irish Leaving Certificate or overseas equivalencies. RAD Intermediate or equivalent in any dance genre

RAD Intermediate or equivalent standard in any dance genre English Language Proficiency test required for applicants whose first language is not English.


English language requirements

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): band 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. The IELTS test must have been taken no earlier than two years before the date of the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies is issued.
