Course summary

Who is it for? For students wishing to continue studying after completing their relevant HNC, the Higher National Diploma in General Engineering cover the fundamental concepts, principals and theories of General Engineering, analysis and design; practical and technical skills, and transferable business skills relevant to Engineering. It is offered as a progression route from the HNC General programme. It is designed to enhance the mathematical, practical and team leading skills of individuals who want to further their career as an Engineering Professional. This degree is awarded by Pearson's.

Modules

What will I study? All the units we offer have been chosen to meet a broad range of local industry needs. Common Units: Research Project, Professional Engineering Management, Further Mathematics. • General Engineering Units: Lean Manufacturing, (three optional level 5 units)

Assessment method

Assessment will be by Assignment, and will combine, essays, with practical activities and filed trips to relate theory to practical and enable case studies to be used.
