Our iconic campus is in the epicentre of world-class event venues in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, ensuring that you, your skills, and educational experience have a unique setting and platform. With esports events playing an ever-increasing contribution to the industry, you are in the best place to maximise your knowledge in such an exciting setting. Our campus will host esports events of many different sizes and types throughout the period of your studies, giving you the chance to gain hands-on experience, and will provide a strong foundation in all that is events management within the context of esports. The Foundation Year (Level 0) is the first part of a four-year degree programme. It provides an alternative route for those unable to meet the traditional entry requirements for a three-year degree or are returning to study later in life. Modules such as ‘SEO & Digital Marketing’ and ‘Marketing & PR for Events’ are in vital in broadening your understanding and can be put into practice in year one with our external partners and your own business ideas. Our ‘Technology for Esports Events’ module will allow you to understand the technical and practical requirements to manage differing event types for a successful delivery. In your second year, our academic modules, such as ‘Esports Events Monetisation’, will provide you with skills to maximise financial impact, with ‘Managing Customer Experience’ to provide balance for employers. To ensure your events are ethical and environmentally appropriate, the ‘Sustainable Events Management’ module will provide essential skills for your career and society as a whole. THE AIMS OF THIS COURSE:
  • To prepare you for a career in the global esports business or further study with the skills of enquiry, within an evidence-based practice-led, knowledge applied interdisciplinary curriculum and performative research framework.
  • To prepare you with the competencies needed to adapt and thrive in life’s continuously changing environments, employment and an increasingly diverse global society.
  • To prepare your moral and ethical compass through opportunities to reflect personally and professionally, make an active contribution as global citizens.
