Course summary

This course is ideal for students wishing to work within the mechanical engineering industry. Our programme is flexibly structured and provides both a practical and academic challenge, within the framework of current industrial practices in Engineering. For some students, the HNC is the qualification most appropriate to immediate needs. You could, however, progress onto the part-time HND Mechanical Engineering programme. This HNC is awarded by Pearson's.

Modules

All the units we offer have been chosen to meet a broad range of local industry needs. Engineering Design, Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Materials, Properties and Testing, Managing a Professional Engineering Project, Thermodynamics and Heat Engines, Mechanical Principles, Industry 4.0.

Assessment method

They will be all assignments however within the assignments there will be reports, lab reports, practical experiments and visits to relate theory to practical.
