Course summary
The BA (Hons) Contemporary Music, Performance and Production course has been developed to include a number of interrelated, core themes of study. We believe these will enable graduates to be best prepared for work in a huge number of roles within the music industry and beyond and will help students to develop high academic standards. This new course continues Loughborough College’s proud tradition of delivering higher education music programmes in a college environment. The course aims to create highly employable graduates, who enjoy exploring music in a multitude of ways, whilst being agile, creative thinkers who rise to challenges they are faced with. Throughout the programme students will develop: Artistic practice The use of technology to aid and stimulate creativity Contextual study Proficiency in recording environments Musicianship skills Technology in performance Professional practice Academic experience Business skills Employability Assessments include a range of exams, essays, projects, presentations, reports, practicals and lab sessions. Such diversity allows you to experience and refine various academic and professional skills to prepare for your next steps. An academic tutor will work with you throughout the duration of your programme, supporting your development and academic progress.
