Course summary

As an English Literature and Drama student at Bangor, you will develop your individual interests in aspects of literature, drama, theatre and performance. You will explore a wide range of practice including performance and media training, playwriting, directing, production making, arts for health and wellbeing and creativity in the community. We ensure that you are equipped and introduced to a diverse study of theory and practice here in the North West of Wales’s creative and cultural hub. Professional practice and industry contribution is at the heart of our programme to ensure you’re one step ahead with your employability skills upon graduating and our state of the arts facilities ensure a high quality learning experience. We have our very own Arts and Innovation Centre (Pontio) which includes two theatres and a cinema, a local professional theatre across the road and a partnership with Aria Film Studios on Anglesey. Our Music and Drama building has had a two million refurbishment, which includes rehearsal rooms for practice and our pastoral care has been nominated for excellence with in the Student Led Teaching Awards. English Literature and Drama at Bangor University is a contemporary and innovative programme to ensure your creativity, imagination and confidence is instilled for future growth within the employment sector and beyond.
